Convicted Sex Offender Arrested for Registration Failure
The Massachusetts man was set to be arraigned April 9 in Nashua.
Nashua police said Charles Hynes, 54, of 16 Tarbell St., Pepperell, Mass., was arrested April 8 on a warrant charging him with Duty to Inform, Class B Felony.
After an investigation by the Nashua Police Department's Special Investigations Unit, police determined he failed "to report in person changes in his information of his sex offender registration as required."
Police said Hynes is identified as a Tier III offender. A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
Police said Hynes is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending his arraignment in 9th Circuit-Nashua District Division Court on April 9.
