Deceased Woman Discovered In Porta-Potty On Canal Street In Nashua

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Police, Fire, and AMR ambulance responded to the area of Canal Street and Lowell Street for an unresponsive person found in a porta-potty located on a construction site Friday.

Responders quickly determined the woman found inside was deceased and began an investigation.

The area was taped off with crime scene tape, and cruisers were placed to block the view from people at the busy intersection. Police determined the woman appeared to have passed away overnight and was discovered when workers opened the porta-potty.

Initial investigation determined the death does not appear to be a criminal situation; however, the body of the 38-year-old woman was transported to the NH Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Concord to have an autopsy completed.

Nashua Police Sgt. John Cinelli said that the name of the woman is not being released at this time as they attempt to locate and notify the next of kin.
