Holiday Shop Event Brings Cheer to Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua Families
Financial literacy and holiday giving come together with Fidelity Investments

NASHUA, N.H. - The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua hosted a heartwarming holiday initiative, taking 21 members shopping for their families in a special two-night event to spread joy during the holiday season. The Annual Holiday Shop event allowed Club members to select gifts and essentials for their loved ones, helping them create lasting memories this holiday season while practicing basic budgeting skills.
The shopping experience, which took place on December 9 and 11 at Target on Amherst Street in Nashua, included employees from Fidelity Investments who volunteered their time to accompany Club members and help them choose toys, clothes, appliances, and other necessities for their loved ones. Beyond the purchases, the focus was on kindness and the importance of giving to others, as each child shopped for their own family members rather than for themselves. The event also included a financial literacy component, with members creating a shopping list and working within a set budget to choose thoughtful gifts for their loved ones, reinforcing skills around planning and spending.
After each shopping night, participants worked together to wrap each gift, adding an extra layer of excitement and care to the holiday process.

For many families at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, the holiday season can bring added financial strain, making it difficult to provide basic necessities, special gifts, or holiday meals.
