Drunk NH Woman Crashes While FaceTiming: Police

Pelham police said Megan Lemay was drunk and using FaceTime on her phone when she crashed into a rock wall and flipped her Jeep.

PELHAM, NH — An intoxicated New Hampshire woman was arrested Sunday after police said she crashed her Jeep in Pelham while FaceTiming on her phone. Megan Lemay, 20, of Pelham, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, using a mobile device while driving and drug possession.

The crash happened at about 2 a.m. on Simpson Road, police said. Officers encountered Lemay outside of the vehicle, which flipped on its side.

"Ms. Lemay was uninjured and refused medical treatment," police said in a statement. "(Officers) noticed her iPhone was still open to a FaceTime call during the investigation ... (officers) observed indicators of impairment and arrested Ms. Lemay."

Police said they found prescription drugs in the vehicle. Lemay was released on $2,000 bond pending an arraignment July 9.

"The Pelham Police Department is thankful no one was hurt in this crash," police added.
