Fatal Fire: Fire Marshal Waiting for Autopsy Results
Information on the cause of Wednesday's fire and name of the victim may be updated Friday.

The identity of the victim of the July 10 fatal house fire on Carlisle Road may be released today, once the autopsy results are completed, the state fire marshal said Thursday.
"We're in a holding pattern, but once the medical examiner notifies next of kin, we should be releasing the identity of the victim," said Assistant Fire Marshal Max Schultz.
"As far as the investigation goes, it's still ongoing. What I can say is that (Wednesday night) the gas company was on scene and determined there were no leaks, so there's no public safety issue for the rest of the neighborhood," Schultz said.
Schultz said he would not speculate about what caused an explosion so violent it blew the outside wall off the house at 7 Carlisle Road on Wednesday, at about 2 p.m.
"It was definitely an explosion of some kind," Schultz said. "You could see from the way the outside wall of the home was blown outward that it was an explosion. We're trying to determine the exact cause, and making sure we have all our facts correct before we release them," Schultz said. "Out of respect for the family, we want to make sure the information we have is accurate."
