Group Urges Ayotte to Protect NH Social Security Benefits
Noontime rally on Main Street in the name of preserving Social Security benefits in NH.
A coalition of volunteers took their message to the street Tuesday, staging a protest outside Sen. Kelly Ayotte's Nashua office, in the name if preserving Social Security benefits.
The group of about 30 hoisted signs that read, "Stop the War on Seniors," and "Help Us Protect Social Security," and evoked lots of honks and waves from Main Street motorists during the noontime rally, .
The group included volunteers with the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare; the Alliance for Retired Americans; the Granite State Organizing Project; the National Association of Social Workers - New Hampshire; and the New Hampshire Citizens Alliance.
