Homeless Man At Shelter Accused Of Slashing 65-Year-Old Man's Neck
Jason Del Vicario, 31, was arrested by police for first-degree assault on Pleasant Street Sunday. Police say he cut the man's neck.
NASHUA, NH — A 31-year-old homeless man is accused of slashing the throat of a 65-year-old man on Pleasant Street Sunday.
Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR ambulance responded to treat the victim, a 65-year-old male who suffered a severe laceration to his neck and had substantial blood loss.

A trauma alert was activated at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, where police say the victim had to have surgery for the injuries he had.
The victim was able to describe the unknown male who attacked him. Officers identified Jason Del Vicario as the suspect through video surveillance and witness statements.

Del Vicario was located by officers at an area shelter and placed under arrest, according to Nashua Police.
A Nashua Police K-9 and three officers could be seen searching the area, which sources say was a search for the weapon. Police could also be seen checking garbage cans and bushes.
A neighbor told Patch the suspect calmly walked away from the scene after leaving the wounded man. They mentioned the victim is known to help several of the homeless people in the area and is a quiet but friendly man,
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division furthered the investigation, completed multiple search warrants for Del Vicario’s belongings, and located a box-cutter-style knife on his property.
Del Vicario is accused of first-degree assault, deadly weapon, a Class A Felony, he being held on preventative detention pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit District Division Nashua Court today, at 1 pm.
