Hudson Elementary Students Bussed to High School Following Evacuation
A problem in the school kitchen has been fixed. Students will be back to Nottingham West on Thursday.

Update: 3:45 p.m.
A school spokesman confirmed students were evacuated after a gas smell was detected. Fire officials said there was no apparent problem. The gas company recommended evacuation until the source could be detected. All 635 students were bussed to Alvirne High School where, due to midterms, there was plenty of room for the kids.
In the meantime, the gas smell was tracked to the kitchen where the problem was fixed. Students spent the day at Alvirne and were bussed home from there.
