Hudson Man Found Hiding at Benson Park after DWI Crash
Richard Phillips faces multiple charges, including DWI and resisting arrest.

Hudson Police received a report Dec. 4 at about 7:30 p.m. about a car in the woods off Bush Hill Road near Flying Rock Road. Upon arrival it was found that the driver of the car had side-swiped a utility pole and veered off the road, striking some small trees and brush. The driver then apparently fled the area on foot. Officers located the alleged driver hiding in Benson’s Park, about a half mile from the scene, and took him in to custody.
Richard Phillips, 48, of Hudson, was found to be intoxicated and was charged with: driving while intoxicated; conduct after an accident; and resisting arrest or detention. Phillips was released on $300 cash bail and will appear in the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua at a later date.
PSNH responded and repaired minor damage to some wires on the pole that was struck.
