Jackson Falls Dam Crest Gate Will Help Prevent Flooding
Rainy season means flooding. Here's what your city is planning to help protect properties.

According to the Nashua Office of Emergency Management, work will begin soon to install a crest gate on the Jackson Falls Dam, allowing more water to flow through during significant rain events along the Nashua River. This should help keep properties upstream of the dam dry.
Nashua Emergency Management Director Justin Kates says hazard mitigation projects like this are an important part of emergency management, to help reduce the risk of damages from floods.
