Man Charged in Stabbing, Assault
Nashua police charged the man with first-degree assault and domestic violence-related counts of criminal threatening and simple assault.
Nashua police arrested a man on charges of first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing a man and criminal threatening and simple assault after a domestic dispute with a woman July 3.
Police said Ernie Roig, 26, was charged after officers responded to a residence for a report of a domestic disturbance where a person was stabbed.
Roig was involved in a physical altercation with a woman and a man he knew, and Roig at one point took possession of a knife and threatened the woman, according to police.
Police say Roig also assaulted the woman, at which point a family member of Roig's intervened and was then stabbed.
The stabbing victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries, while the woman sustained minor injury, police said.
Roig was charged with first-degree assault, a Class A felony, two counts of domestic violence-related criminal threatening, and two counts of domestic violence-related simple assault.
Roig was being held at the Nashua Police Department on $100,000 cash bail pending arraignment July 7.
