Man Who Robbed Bank, Threatened to Kill Police Gets 4 to 8 Years

Jason Enwight was indicted by a Grand Jury in connection with the Dec. 4, 2012 Londonderry bank robbery.

A Nashua man charged with robbing a Londonderry bank last year was sentenced Thursday to 4 to 8 years in prison, according to the Union Leader.

Jason Enwright, 39, pleaded guilty to robbery, assault and criminal threatening charges as part of a plea agreement.

He was indicted back in February by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury in connection with the Dec. 4, 2012 robbery of the Citizen's Bank branch on Nashua Road in Londonderry.

Enwright allegedly walked into the Citizen's Bank on Nashua Road on Dec. 4 and passed one of the tellers a note telling her to be calm and give him the money. He reportedly walked out with $1,428 in cash. He then evaded police for nearly three hours,  until they received a call from someone at Cafe Teresa, located about a half mile away at 103 Nashua Road, saying that a "suspicious subject" was inside, claiming he had hit a deer in Hudson and needed a ride. The caller said the man appeared intoxicated and was carrying "wads of cash," according to the Londonderry police log. The caller later called back, saying the man was "becoming more agitated." That agitation continued after Enwright was apprehended when he allegedly took an aggresive stance toward one of the officers at the Londonderry Police Department.

He reportedly spat on one officer and threatened to kill two others later in the night at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
