Massachusetts Man Accused Of Killing Bear While Driving Drunk
Hollis police say Timothy Harrigan, 30, Leominster, MA, was DUI. The woman providing a ride home was accused of driving after suspension.

HOLLIS, NH — Hollis police responded to the area of Broad Street near Pine Hill Road Sunday for a report of a motor vehicle crash.
Dispatch reported that a bear had been struck and was deceased after being struck by a motor vehicle. The driver of the vehicle that struck the bear was identified as Timothy Harrigan, 30, of Leominster, Massachusetts, according to police. In speaking with Harrigan, officers detected signs of impairment and investigated further. Harrigan was taken into custody and is accused of aggravated driving under the influence and DUI charges and an open container violation.
Hollis police said the aggravated charge is due to the fact that at the time of the crash, Harrigan is alleged to have a BAC of 0.17, which is more than double the statutory limit of 0.08. Harrigan was processed and released on personal recognizance with arraignment date at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.

Harrigan arranged for a ride from the station by Sarah Chicoine, 29, of Nashua, who police said was found to be operating on a suspended license and suspended registrations.
She was issued a summons to appear at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District to answer the charges of driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration.
