Nashua Dad Loved Daughter As His Own 'Without Hesitation,' She Says

NASHUA, NH— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Nashua, meet Alex Taveras.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad is extra special as he entered my mother's life without hesitation and became a father instantly. He didn’t think twice about being with a single mom knowing the responsibility of caring for a child and loving a child without the same blood running through our veins. He is the greatest Father and APA. Stern and loving on his kids but a complete teddy bear for his grandkids. He has shown me and my siblings that no matter how hard life is, never give up, and no matter what we do, he will always be there for us in the good times and bad. He’s not a mushy guy probably the toughest man I know but one thing about him is that he will do anything for his family and that truly shows.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

He is always doing for others and never expects anything in return. He doesn’t care for recognization but honestly, he is the most deserving person on this planet and I wish he knew that.
