Nashua police made an arrest in an investigation involving multiple physical assaults in the Mine Falls Park area between Oct. 11 and Oct. 16. The complainants reported a man was harassing women in the park and assaulting them. On Oct. 16, a woman reported walking in Mine Falls Park when she was assaulted. Totman denied being involved with the reported assaults and officers were unable to confirm his involvement at that time. Detectives from the Special Investigations Division and the Criminal Investigation Division had been assigned to further the investigation. Utilizing video surveillance obtained from area security surveillance systems, Detectives were able to track the suspect riding his bike back to an address on Blossom Street in Nashua shortly after the assault occurred on Oct. 16.

After police executed a search warrant at the Blossom Street residence, detectives discovered evidence of several additional crimes during their search, according to a report. As a result, several electronic devices and a quantity of a substance believed to be an illegal narcotic were seized from Totman's residence, police said.

The Nashua Police Department Computer Forensic Unit and the Crimes Against Children Unit were assigned to further the investigation. A Forensic Examination of the electronic devices recovered at Totman’s residence gave detectives probable cause to apply for an arrest warrant.

Detectives were granted an arrest warrant for Totman on Wednesday.

Totman was arrested Thursday while incarcerated at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections, where he is being held due to his previous arrest by the Nashua Police Department on Oct. 20. He is accused of five counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, class a felony, possession of a controlled drug, subsequent class a felony, and two counts of bestiality, a class a misdemeanor.

Totman was refused bail on the new charges and will be arraigned at the 9th Circuit—District Division on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
