Nashua Man Arrested After 3-Hour Standoff At Known Drug House

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Wednesday after a three-hour standoff with police at a local address that has been a target of multiple drug investigations, the Nashua Police Department said.
Christopher Yniguez, 29, was taken into custody at the Mountain View Street residence by members of the Nashua PD's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, with assistance from the Uniform Field Operations Bureau, Criminal Investigation Division, Narcotics Intelligence Division, Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit and Crisis Negotiation Unit, according to police
The Nashua PD said authorities had gone to the residence to arrest Yniguez in connection with the theft of multiple firearms.

Yniguez was charged with receiving stolen property; firearm, which is a Class A felony, police said. The suspect was held on preventative detention and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, the Nashua PD said.
The department said the investigation remains ongoing and more charges could be filed by the time of Yniguez's arraignment.

Yniguez had been released on bail prior to his most recent alleged offense and he had "strict obligations that he ultimately did not follow," according to police.
Police said three people also were arrested at the location Wednesday: Scott Campbell, 29, of no fixed address, for violating terms of his probation by committing a felony, Patrick Roach, 25, of Nashua, for failing to appear for a court hearing while out on bail, and Ashley Reaves, of Nashua, for failing to appear in court while out on bail.
According to police reports, just after 11 p.m. Sunday, Nashua PD offers responded to an address near downtown Nashua after the report of an "undesirable." Officers recovered several stolen firearms in the area, according to the department.
The Nashua PD's Criminal Investigations Division investigated the case and determined Yniguez was a suspect in the theft of firearms, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police said the department had been forced to assign a SWAT Team to Wednesday's operation due to the nature of the crime and the location.
The Mountain View Street home has been the target of large-scale drug investigations, both federally and locally, property crime investigations and several ongoing quality-of-life issues for the neighborhood, according to police.
The Nashua PD said that since 2018, there have been approximately 57 calls for police service at the location. During that time, 25 arrests have taken place, many of which are the same offenders being re-arrested, police said.
In fact, on Oct. 5, Yniguez and Reaves were two of four people arrested at the location.
After that arrest, Yniguez was charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin/fentanyl) with intent to distribute, a special felony, and his bail was set at $200 cash.
Reaves was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, a Class A misdemeanor, and her bail was set at $100 cash.
