Nashua Man Charged With Domestic Violence Twice In 5 Days

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Monday after being accused of committing domestic violence against a female acquaintance, according to the Nashua Police Department.
The suspect also was arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident against the same woman last week, police said.
William Mackey III, 42, has been charged with stalking, domestic violence, subsequent, a Class B felony, and breach of bail, a Class A misdemeanor, authorities said.

The suspect was held on preventative detention and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South, police said.
According to police reports, on Monday, Nashua PD officers responded to a local residence after receiving a report of a domestic violence incident. Mackey was arrested at the scene at approximately 7:56 p.m., police said.

The Nashua PD said its detectives learned that Mackey had been released on bail after being arrested by the department on Nov. 9. On that date, Mackey was charged with a domestic violence offense involving the same victim, police said.
Police said Mackey also had a previous conviction for stalking in July 2022, making the most recent arrest a second offense, which is a Class B felony.
A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in state prison, while a Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year in county jail.
