Nashua Man Charged with Negligent Homicide in Walpole Crash
One dead and 3 injured after a crash in Walpole. Police say the driver of one of the vehicles was impaired.

A Nashua man was arrested from his hospital bed, charged with negligent homicide in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Walpole that killed a passenger in his car and left three – including himself – hospitalized.
On Monday police announced that Matthew Flynn, 25, of Nashua was charged in the incident, which happened at about 2 p.m. on Sept. 22. State Police have not released the name of the person who died in the crash, one of two passengers in Flynn's vehicle, pending positive identification and notification of family.
Police said Flynn was traveling north on Route 12 just north of Blackjack Crossing Road when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a Toyota RAV-4 driven by Marguerite Lucas, 64, of Springfield, Vt.

Flynn was transported by helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon and Lucas was transported by ambulance to Springfield Hospital in Springfield, Vt.
A passenger in Flynn's vehicle, Gerard Flynn, 21, also of Nashua, was also injured and transported by helicopter to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.

Police said a second passenger in Flynn's vehicle died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. That person's identity is not being released at this time pending positive identification by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation has determined that impairment was a factor in this collision. Consequently, Mathew Flynn was arrested at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and has been charged with negligent homicide.
Troop C was assisted by the Walpole Police Department, Walpole Fire Department, and the State Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Unit.
