Nashua Man Drowns Saturday in Westford, Mass., Quarry
The popular Mass. swimming spot is on the Westford/Tyngsborough town line.

A 26-year-old Nashua man drowned at Merrill Quarry July 6, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
As reported by the Lowell Sun, the man, whose name has not been released, was pulled from the water by several swimmers who tried unsuccessfully to revive him, according to a statement released by the District Attorney's office.
Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the Massachusetts quarry, located on Vineyard Road near the Westford/Tyngsborough line, around 3 p.m. and also attempted CPR.
The man was pronounced dead at Lowell General Hospital.
According to the Sun, the privately owned quarry is a popular swimming spot, despite past accidents. In 2005, a 15-year-old girl was hospitalized after falling 30 to 40 feet from a ledge.
