Nashua Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Manslaughter Case

Daniel Burke pleaded guilty in the death of Christina Hill of Nashua.

Daniel J. Burke of Nashua pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the death last summer of 52-year-old Christina Hill, the Union Leader reports.

Burke, 51, of 23 Temple St., was arrested Sept. 10, 2013 and Nashua police charged him with manslaughter, two counts of falsifying physical evidence and abuse of corpse.

As Nashua Patch reported after Hill's death July 20, the case rattled the city's nerves as police detectives, joined by the Hillsborough County Attorney's Office and the Attorney General's Office. Police said that Burke wrapped Hill's body in plastic and it was not discovered for two weeks until people noticed a suspicious odor from the apartment.
