Nashua PD Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Another State: Police
Kelvin Lewis was wanted in connection with a Wednesday stabbing that left a female victim in stable but critical condition.

NASHUA, NH —The Nashua Police Department said Friday that the suspect in a Wednesday stabbing —who had been reported as on the loose and possibly armed and dangerous —has been arrested in another state.
Kelvin Lewis, 32, with no fixed address, was being sought in New Hampshire after an arrest warrant was issued charging him with first-degree assault, a Class A felony, police said.
However, Nashua Police Lt. Joshua Albert said Lewis will be "facing several local charges in that jurisdiction prior to facing any New Hampshire charges." Albert did not say where Lewis was arrested.

The victim was transported to a local hospital before being taken to a Boston-area hospital, where she remains in stable but critical condition, according to the Nashua PD.
Police said the suspect fled the area after the alleged stabbing.
Detectives from the Nashua PD's Criminal Investigation Division were called in to further the investigation, and Lewis was identified as a suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Lewis reportedly came to the attention of police in Concord last month when he was arrested on charges of resisting arrest or detention and loitering in connection with an Oct. 24 theft at a bus depot. Lewis reportedly was tased by police during that incident.
In that case, Lewis was described as being homeless and from Leesburg, Florida.
According to reports about that incident, Lewis and a female were spotted by an officer at the Concord Coach Bus Depot parking lot just before 1 a.m., and Lewis allegedly was seen taking items out of a vehicle.
Lewis and the female fled, police said.
The female was not apprehended. But Lewis was spotted by police about 30 minutes later and was tased and taken into custody.
According to reports out of Florida, Lewis is a convicted felon who was involved in a 2017 domestic incident that ended with him suffering an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Nashua Police Department has asked anyone with information about the stabbing case to contact the department at 603-594-3500 or the Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
