Nashua Police Arrest MA Man On Attempted Sexual Assault Charge

Police said the Massachusetts man was communicating online with a person he thought was a child.

NASHUA, NH — A Wellesley, Massachusetts, man was arrested in Nashua police on suspicion of having an online relationship with someone he thought was a minor, police said.

In a news release, Nashua police said 23-year-old Patrick Tobin was arrested as the result of an August investigation into the sexual exploitation of children on the internet. The department is an affiliate of New Hampshire's Internet Crimes against Children Task Force.

Tobin is charged with "Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited," "Attempted Felonious Sexual Assault," and "Indecent Exposure and Lewdness," all class B felonies, police said.

He was released on bail pending a future court date in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
