Nashua Police Investigating A Reported Stabbing On Pleasant Street
A trauma alert was activated at the Southern NH Medical Center after an elderly man was found with a 4-inch slash to his neck Sunday.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua police, Nashua Fire Rescue, and AMR ambulance responded to Pleasant Street for a report of a man suffering from a stab wound Sunday.
Fire and EMS were staged as police secured the scene just before 4 p.m. Police began treating the man at first. Firefighters and medics took over treatment in what was described by police as a serious and life-threatening injury to his neck.
A trauma alert was activated at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for a man in his sixties with what was described as an approximate 4-inch slash to his neck. Crews rushed the man to the hospital, and police secured a large area on Pleasant Street with crime scene tape.

A Nashua Police K-9 and three officers could be seen searching the area, which sources say was a search for the weapon. Police could also be seen checking garbage cans and bushes.
A person is in custody, and according to Nashua Police Sgt. John Cinelli, there is no danger to the public at this time.

Pleasant Street is currently closed at Elm Street, where medical supplies used to treat the man are on the ground.
