New Farm Market Season, New Vendors

A snapshot of Sunday's Farmer's Market.

Business was bustling at the Downtown Nashua Farmers Market June 30, a summer staple every Sunday through about Oct. 13, depending on how the rest of the growing season goes.

That's part of the excitement of locally grown produce said market manager Drema Cady, of Country Drams Farm.

"People have been looking for lots of fruits and vegetables, which you can find anytime at the supermarket. We are still early into our growing season here -- we'r still about three weeks away for corn, Cady said.

Plentiful right now: salad greens, sweet turnips, and several varieties of squash.

"Each week as the growing season progresses we'll have more to sell. We just need more sun, Cady said.
