• At Nashua inauguration, Goodlander praises ‘government closest to the people' (inklink.news) — Nashua’s 113th city government was sworn in at the Nashua Center for the Arts, setting the stage for the city’s 2026–2027 term. Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander emceed, praising local government’s closeness to residents, while Mayor Jim Donchess outlined priorities from housing and riverfront improvements to jobs and education. New and returning officials also set leadership roles and committee assignments for the Board of Aldermen.

• United Way launches 2026 Shoebox Project for Seniors (unionleader.com) — United Way of Greater Nashua is kicking off its 2026 Shoebox Project to deliver 500 care kits to low-income, homebound seniors across the Greater Nashua area. Residents can donate specific comfort and hygiene items or host collection boxes, with weekday drop-offs accepted at 20 Broad Street through January 30. It’s a hands-on way to brighten local seniors’ lives this winter.
