Police, Fire at Scene Where Body Found Off Temple Street

Police waiting on medical examiner to identify the body found inside a vehicle discovered off Temple Street Saturday.

Police and fire officials remain at the scene where an overturned vehicle was located earlier Saturday.

Police confirmed that the car, a Saab, is registered to Sarah McCormack, 29, of Nashua, who was reported missing by her family, last seen alive June 26.

A small crowd gathered on Temple Street to watch as police and fire officials managed the scene. The Saab was on the other side of a damaged chain link fence in the area of 103 Temple St. The fence is blocked by thick brush but bright lights could be seen down a slope where the car had apparently come to rest.

On Temple Street a ladder truck was parked along side the fence casting light on the scene while a police officer directed traffic before that section of the street was closed to through traffic shortly before 10 p.m. A trail that runs down by the Nashua River and the train tracks had also been shut down.

One woman watching the scene mentioned authorities had been there since early afternoon. There was no word when authorities expected to remove the vehicle.

The body has not been identified.
