Road to Glory: 'Move the Spartans a Mile' Fundraiser Launched
Spartans are undefeated going into the home competition stretch. Can you help?

NASHUA – The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps started their competition season June 29, 2013 in Quincy, Mass., and have continued to remain undefeated with competitions in New Haven, Connecticut and in Bristol, Rhode Island where they were awarded first place in each competition.
This hardworking group of young adults between the ages of 14-21 are working to continue their undefeated competition season. The season will culminate at the Drum Corps International World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana in August.
The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps is a non-profit organization founded in 1955 by Albert LaFlamme of Nashua. Today the corps is under the direction of his grandson Paul G. LaFlamme Jr. and Richard Rigolini who both strive to promote youth involvement in the arts.
The corps relies heavily on the support of volunteers and the community in order to achieve greatness.
In order for the Spartans to successfully continue their undefeated journey they have set up a fundraiser entitled Move the Spartans a Mile. This fundraiser was put in place in hopes of lowering the cost of traveling over 6,500 miles with four coach busses and two tractor trailers to all of the competitions the corps is involved in. Every mile traveled costs $12 and the corps is asking the help of the community to reach the goal of $12,000 by Drum Corps International Finals week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. Any form of donation or support can help the Spartans in successfully continuing their undefeated season.
