Sidewalk Project Update: Trees to be Cut on East Side of Block 2
Here's what to expect this week on Main Street.

Weekly progress report for the ongoing sidewalk improvement project, as posted on the city's website:
"The new sidewalks on the West side of Block 2 were pressure washed and sealed this week and the brick work continued around the planting beds. We started preparation of the East side of Block 2 for the new sidewalks which included taking down bollards, meters and beginning the installation of the new catch basin structures.
The gas company was due to complete the work replacing the gas main as of July 19 at 100 Main St.
The week of July 22:
Depending on the weather, we should be able to complete the brick work on the West side of Block 2. On the East side we will continue work on the catch basins and remove the rest of the bollards, meters and light poles. We will also be taking down the trees on the East side of Block 2 on Monday in preparation for the installation of the new curbing which is scheduled for mid week. There will be a lot going on next week. It will be necessary to take parking spaces where we are working. As always, we will do our best to minimize any disruptions and inconveniences to businesses and customers.
