3rd Strike: Felony Charge for Shoplifter

Hsiu-Feng Sun has two prior convictions for theft.

Hsiu–Feng Sun, 54, of 2 Elmer Drive, Nashua, was arrested July 6, New charged with theft by unauthorized taking, third strike, a class B felony.

The Nashua Police Department received a report of a theft from a local Hannaford grocery store on May 4, 2013, of meat and potato salad and other grocery items. Members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operations Bureau responded, investigated this incident, and indentified Hsiu-Feng Sun as the person who allegedly stole from the business. 

An arrest warrant was obtained based on this investigation.

The Third Strike aspect of this charge is due to Sun having two prior theft-related convictions, said Nashua Police Lt. Michael Moushegian.

A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Bail was set at $1,000 cash or surety pending her arraignment at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court that is scheduled for July 8, 2013.
