Trio Charged with Shoplifting from Kohl's
Two of the three men had prior theft convictions, elevating their charges to felonies.

On July 8 Nashua police arrested three men after they walked out of Kohl's with concealed merchandise.
Benjamin Sherman, 22, of 29 Temple Street, Apt #215, Nashua, and Frank Pineault, 36, of 343 Forest Rd, Wilton, were each charged with one count of theft by unauthorized taking, class B felony. Walter Dankhoff Jr., 25, no fixed was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, a class A misdemeanor; and receiving stolen property, a class A misdemeanor.
Police officers were dispatched to Kohl’s for the report of a shoplifting in progress on July 8 at about 4 p.m. Store loss prevention officers allegedly observed the three men concealing merchandise while in the store, and then attempting to leave the store, passing all points of sale, without making any purchase.

They were all arrested after the stolen property was located in their possession by Nashua Police officers. Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division conducted a criminal record check which revealed two prior theft related convictions for both Sherman and Pineault, thus enhancing their theft charges to class B felonies. Dankhoff was additionally charged with receiving stolen property for property located on his possession from an unrelated theft.
A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment, exclusive of fines. All three defendants are being held on a cash bail, pending their upcoming arraignments at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.
