Variance Sought for Residence Inn Marriott Signage

Nashua TS Lodging, the applicant, notes the signs are appropriate for the use and area at 25 Trafalgar Square.

The Nashua Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday will consider a variance for signage for the Residence Inn Marriott site plan at 25 Trafalgar Square.

Nashua TS Lodging LLC requests a variance to exceed the allowable wall sign area. The owner/applicant wants 283.5 square feet, where 150 square feet is allowed, according to the request. The proposal calls for installation of three wall signs. The applicant says the signage is appropriate for a large-scale hotel (with 118 rooms, and adjacent restaurant).

The ZBA is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. April 8 at the Nashua City Hall auditorium.

Other items before the board according to its agenda:

  • The Nashua Airport Authority at 93 Perimeter Road requests special exception to encroach into an "other" wetland buffer for improvements to the airport perimeter and wildlife fence, including a gate addition and removal, new fence, fence signs and vehicular and pedestrian gates.
  • Gregg Kennedy, at 11 Joffre St., requests a variance to encroach 5 feet into the 25-foot required front yard setback, and 4 feet into the 10-foot required side yard setback, to build a dormer and roof.
  • Min Pin Properties LLC, 36 Central St., requests special exception to repair and expand an existing two-story structure damaged by fire.
