Woman Served as 'Lookout' During Burglary, Beer Theft

Melissa Swenson faces a felony charge for her alleged actions.

Melissa Swenson, 23, of 76 Pine Hill Road, Nashua, was arrested July 8 in connection with an April 30 residential burglary and theft of beer from a convenience store. 

According to Nashua Police, on April 30, 2013, officers responded to a downtown Nashua address for the report of a burglary during which several pieces of electronic equipment were stolen from a residence. The

investigation was furthered by Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division Burglary Unit. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Kyle Goulet, charging him with burglary, a class B Felony. A second warrant was issued for Melissa Swenson, who police say acted as a lookout for Goulet during the burglary. She is charged with criminal liability of the conduct of another to burglary, a class B felony.

Goulet was previously arrested on June 26, 2013. Swenson was additionally charged with Criminal Liability for conduct of another to theft,  a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly assisting Goulet who is accused of stealing  beer from a downtown convenience store.

A Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year in county jail, exclusive of fines. Swenson was released on $250 cash bail, pending her arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.
