Guitarist Johnny A. To Play Benefit For Salem's Arts Academy of NH
The Grammy-nominated instrumental guitarist will perform on Nov. 12 at The Brook in Seabrook, with proceeds going to the charter school.
SALEM, NH — Tickets remain available for next month's Johnny A. concert to support Salem's Arts Academy of New Hampshire Chartered Public High School.
The Grammy-nominated instrumental guitarist is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. on Nov. 12 at The Brook in Seabrook. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online.
Arts Academy is an arts-based high school that provides students with a strong academic curriculum that is integrated with visual arts, dance, theater and music, according to the school's website.

Since it is a charter school, Arts Academy of New Hampshire is funded at a lower level than traditional public schools, so it must make up the difference with fundraising.
Money raised from the concert will help support the school.

The Massachusetts-based Johnny A. has been performing and recording for three decades as a bandleader and solo artist.
Known for playing different genres of music, Johnny A. is scheduled to perform a show in Rockport, Massachusetts this weekend called "From A. To Beatles."
According to his website, Johnny A. has put out albums that explore jazz, soul and country, and he was voted Blues Artist of the Year at the 2010 Boston Music Awards.
"I want to create instrumental music and deliver it like a vocalist," Johnny A. said. "You can be a great player, on any instrument, and people will take notice for a while … but what people really remember is someone who brings them a great melody."
