Salem College Students Make Dean’s Lists, Graduate

Here is a rundown of accomplishments and accolades received by Salem college students recently.

SALEM, NH — Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the Spring 2021 semester. Among those students are:

In recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College in Boston has named nearly 900 students to the Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Local students earning Dean's List include:

Bryant University is pleased to recognize the students who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement. Michael DeVito, class of 2021, from Salem, has been named to the President's List for the spring 2021 semester.

The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

The following students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut: Erin Faber, Leah Faber, Mia Haynes, and Michael Martland.

Michael Glynn of Salem was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2021 Spring Semester. Glynn is in the mechanical engineering program.

The University of Maine recognized 3,670 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the spring 2021 semester. Of the students who made the Dean’s List, 2,392 are from Maine, 1,195 are from 39 other states and 83 are from 35 countries other than the U.S. Students from Salem named to the list include Sunni Holland and Kyle Moniz.

Garrett Traer, a native of Salem has been named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. Traer is majoring in Theatre and is a member of the Class of 2023. The requirement to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Olivia Champagne, of Salem, earned dean's list honors at The University of Tampa for the Spring 2021 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute released its Spring 2021 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects. The following undergradutes were named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List:

Tufts University awarded approximately 1,500 undergraduate students degrees in disciplines ranging from the sciences and engineering to the humanities and fine arts during its online degree conferral ceremony commemorating the accomplishments of the Class of 2021. The graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering included:

Frank Ma of Salem, with a degree in Computer Science (BS) Summa Cum Laude

Meghan Mulvey of Salem, with a degree in Biochemistry (BS) Summa Cum Laude

David Pierson of Salem graduated from the University of Connecticut, Class of 2021.

Granite State College will honor more than 500 graduates from its undergraduate and master’s degree programs. They included Sarah Farrow of Salem.
