Salem Family Resources Awarded $10,000 Donation from Gold Lion Insurance Agency

Gold Lion Insurance Agency has officially awarded a $10,000 donation to with Salem Family Resources, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting education, health, and well-being for children and families in the Salem, New Hampshire area. The funding will cover half the annual cost of operating the space that hosts vital parent support groups and kids’ playgroups, while also providing essential items for families in need.

Initially, Gold Lion Insurance Agency received a $5,000 donation through the Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards program for its partnership with Salem Family Resources. After their story was featured on the Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/gold-lion-insurance-agency, the community rallied with over 500 votes and comments—triggering a matching donation and bringing the total to $10,000.

Gold Lion Insurance Agency has been a dedicated partner of Salem Family Resources. Rachel Leone, agent at Gold Lion Insurance Agency, serves on the nonprofit Board of Directors and plays a key role in organizing its annual fundraising gala. One of the agency’s most impactful initiatives was a blockbuster diaper drive, which united clients, networking groups, and the local community to collect hundreds of diapers and baby essentials. The outpouring of support—and the gratitude of the staff—was a powerful reminder to Rachel that small, heartfelt actions can make a big difference.

Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
