Salem High Welcomes New Teachers For the 2022-2023 School Year
Several new faces will be in classrooms when school begins on Wednesday. Get to know them here.

SALEM, NH — With the arrival of the first day of classes on Wednesday, Salem High School has introduced several new members of the teaching staff. Get to know them here:
- Mikayla Ramsdell: A Salem High graduate who has been teaching math for the last three years at Merrimack High School. She played field hockey and softball at Rivier University and is going to be the coach of the JV field hockey team at Salem High.
- Noah Lira: Comes to Salem from Franklin High School, where he was the head of the Social Studies Department. He received the 2022 NHCSS Social Studies Teacher of the Year award.
- Riley Swedberg: A graduate of Fitchburg State University, he spent the last three years teaching technology education at Keene High, where he was a freshman boys basketball coach.
- Anna-Maria Forger: After graduating from Saint Michael's College in 2017, she worked at a publishing house, taught theater at Phillips Exeter Academy, taught English in Hudson and earned a Master's of English Education.
- Andrew Reagan: He has been an education assistant at Salem High since 2017 and will start as a special education teacher this year. Reagan earned an undergrad degree from the University of Richmond and a law degree from the University of New Hampshire Law School.
- LeeAnn Graichen: She spent 14 years as an English language learner (ELL) teacher at Woodbury Middle School. Graichen is a Salem High grad who earned an undergraduate degree (communications) and master's degree (education) from the University of New Hampshire.
- Matt Arcovio: Comes to Salem after spending 10 years teaching social studies in Rochester, New York. He is a Newton, Massachusetts native who earned a master's degree from Empire State College after spending five years working as a Minor League Baseball umpire.
- Tom Welsh: Salem High's new health science technology and EMT teacher, he worked as a paramedic in Sydney, Australia before moving to New Hampshire in 2014. Since then, he has been a wilderness instructor in the White Mountains and taught EMT courses at Dover High.
