As summer’s long days begin to wind
down, members of the Salem Friendship
& Garden Club (SFGC) reflect on a season filled with productivity and camaraderie. Volunteers stayed busy helping
weed the gardens along the rail trail and
nurturing the pollinator garden — part
of the Legacy Project completed earlier
this year at Salem Town Forest. Plans
are already sprouting for the club’s next
green initiative and location.
On the social front, members came
together for their beloved gatherings,
including “Coffee & Conversation”
breakfasts, “Laughter & Libations” wine
and appetizer tastings, and the morning
walking group. These events fostered
friendships, laughter, and a strong sense
of community.
Behind the scenes, the club’s board of
directors put in extra hours this summer
to strengthen the foundation for an exciting year ahead. From revising governing
documents and crafting a new budget to
launching fresh committees, their efforts
have laid the groundwork for future success. The board also completed a vision
board to map out events and projects for
2025–2026.
To usher in the new club year, the
SFGC invites potential members to a
Meet & Greet on Thursday, September
4, from 6pm to 7:30pm. If you’re curious about the club or considering joining, this friendly gathering is the perfect
chance to learn more, meet members,
and ask questions.
RSVP details can be found in your invitation below or by emailing friendshipgarden03079@gmail.com — we can’t
wait to welcome you.
