• 27 Units Planned Near Wesley Lake in Asbury Park (thecoaster.net) — A 27-unit Mediterranean-style building called The Views at Wesley Lake is moving forward in Asbury Park, with revised plans shaped by the city’s Technical Review Committee. The four-story project near Cookman Avenue adds ground-level parking, a courtyard with a dog run, and design tweaks meant to boost walkability and better fit the evolving lakefront neighborhood.
   

• Mikie Sherrill Taps 2 Morris Co. Mayors For Transition Team (patch.com) — Asbury Park’s deputy mayor Amy Quinn has been appointed to Governor‑elect Mikie Sherrill’s Local Government Advisory Group, giving the city a direct voice in the incoming administration. She’ll serve alongside dozens of mayors and county officials from across New Jersey as Sherrill prepares policy priorities before taking office January 20.
   

• Shore Conference announces football divisions for 2026 season. (app.com) — Asbury Park High School’s football team will compete in a newly realigned Shore Conference division in 2026, playing five divisional games instead of four. The conference is shrinking from eight to seven six-team divisions, and the full schedule is expected in mid-January, affecting how Asbury Park matches up with nearby Shore schools.
