Barnegat Homes Evacuated Due To Brush Fire, Chief Says
The one-acre fire has been contained.

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, NJ A fast movin brush fire in Barnegat lead to a brief evacuation of homes along Highland Drive and First Street, Police Chief Keith Germain said.
The one-acre brush fire has been 100 percent contained, the chief posted on Twitter.
The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service has been conducting water drops in the area.

"Please do not call 911 for low flying aircraft," he said.
No injuries or damage to homes has been reported, Germain said.
