Coast Guard Rescues Diabetic Man Off His Boat In Little Egg Inlet
Man was taken by helicopter to Air Station Atlantic City

PHILADELPHIA – A Coast Guard crew rescued a diabetic man who became disoriented and grounded his boat near Little Egg Inlet on Saturday.
The man’s daughter contacted watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay and reported that her father was disoriented on the rocks near Golden Nugget Hotel and might need insulin, according to a release from the Coast Guard PA Detachment Atlantic City.
The Coast Guard issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City to search.

When they couldn't locate the man at the location where his daughter reported, the Coast Guard worked with his cell phone company and were able to find him on the southern side of Little Egg Inlet.
They lifted the man aboard and took him to Air Station Atlantic City to meet emergency medical services for treatment, the release states.
