Election 2021: Ballot Drop Boxes Set Up In Barnegat, Manahawkin
Ocean County recently set up 19 new vote-by-mail drop boxes, including two in Barnegat and Manahawkin.

BARNEGAT, NJ — The Ocean County Board of Elections has set up secure drop boxes in Barnegat and Stafford Township, where residents can place their mail-in ballots for the upcoming election.
The locations are:
- Barnegat Library, 112 Burr St., Barnegat
- Southern Resource Center, 179 S. Main Street, Manahawkin
The boxes are among 19 secure drop box locations across Ocean County installed for voters to securely submit completed ballots. A list of locations is available online at the New Jersey Elections page and the Ocean County Board of Elections website.

All 19 drop boxes are accessible 24 hours a day, and all of them are subject to video surveillance and other security measures.
Residents in Barnegat and Stafford townships will vote for governor and state legislative seats, as well as local school board and council seats.

Two Republicans are running to keep their seats on the Barnegat Council — incumbents Pasquale 'Pat' Pipi and William Farmer against Democrats Charles Cunliffe and Martin Weber
In the Barnegat Board of Education race, 10 candidates are running for three three-year terms:
- Bruno Iamonte: "One Barnegat Together"

- Regina Tarnowski: "One Barnegat Together"
- Justin Deemer: "Putting Education First"
- Lauren Washburn: "Building Tomorrow's Leaders"

- John Murrin: "Educationally Fiscally Responsible"
- Chris Velders : "Educationally Fiscally Responsible"
- Andrew Gibson: "Bring Dodgeball Back”
In Stafford Township, Mayor Gregory Myhre is running for re-election against Democratic challenger Joanne Sitek and ten candidates are running for six seats on the council:
- Anthony R. Guariglia (Republican)
- Robert Henken (Republican)
- Paul Krier (Republican)
- Lisa Mower (Republican)
- Amy Otta (Republican)
- Thomas N. Steadman (Republican)
- George Williams (Republican)
- Helen S. Cocuzza (Democrat)
- Denise Pobicki (Democrat)
- Ellyn Hill (Democrat)
- Reagan White (Democrat)
Three candidates are running for three three-year positions on the Stafford Board of Education:
- Tammy Wagner: "Keeping Students First"
- Matthew Regulski: "Keeping Students First"
- Taylor Brennan: "Keeping Students First"
One candidate will run unopposed for a one-year term:
- Kevin J. Cooney: "Keeping Students First"
In the District 9 Senate race, incumbent Republican Christopher Connors will face Democrat David T. Wright and Regina Discenza, who is running under the slogan “Unaffiliated Best Choice.”
Republican incumbents DiAnne Gove and Brian Rumpf are running in the general election for New Jersey General Assembly District 9 against Democrats Kristen Henninger-Holland and Alexis Jackson.
