Little Egg Harbor Man Gets 15 Years For Sex Assault Of 4-Year-Old

TOMS RIVER - A Little Egg Harbor man will probably die in prison before he serves out his 15-year prison term for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child, according to a report in app.com.

Ocean County Superior Court Judge James M. Blaney said Simunovich, now 80, will have to serve 85 percent of his prison term for the aggravated sexual assault of the child before he can be considered for release, under the state's No Early Release Act.

Simunovich has a prior record for cruelty and neglect of children.,

He was indicted last year for aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment on a child in Little Egg Harbor and Point Pleasant Beach from Jan. 2015 until September of 2015.

Simunovich pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault, on June 1, in a plea bargain that called for the two other charges to be dismissed.

He previously pleaded guilty to cruelty and child neglect back in 2009.
