Long Beach Township Looking For Police Dispatchers
Applicants must meet a number of criteria.

LON BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Long Beach Township Police Department has openings for police telecommunicators, according to the department's Facebook page.
Interested persons must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful incidents and have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Applicants should also be able to use radio, telephone, computers and other electronic equipment to dispatch police and first responders.

Other requirements include:
• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read and write English
• Above average computer skills
• Be able to multi-task using sophisticated communication systems
• Work 12-hour shifts, holidays, weekends, day and night shifts
• Available to work filling vacant shifts
• Pass an extensive background check
• Successfully complete an in-house training program
• Be of good moral character
