Two Injured Injured in Crash on Nautilus Drive: Cops

Claire Gancarz, 81, crashed her car into a parked vehicle while driving around a curve on Nautilus Drive.

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - A Manahawkin woman and her passenger were injured in a car crash on Nautilus Drive Tuesday, according to Stafford Township Police. Claire Gancarz, 81, was driving the car, and she and her and her passenger, Agatha Marchese, were both transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center, according the Stafford Township Police Department.

Gancarz was driving in her 2016 Chevrolet Cruz along Nautilus Drive on Tuesday afternoon. When driving around a curve, Gancarz ran onto the shoulder where she struck a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe parked in front of 120 Nautilus Drive, according to the Stafford Township Police Department.

When Stafford Police arrived, they requested the Stafford Township First Aid Squad to examine both Gancarz and Marchese. Gancarz and Marchese were both taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

As a result of the crash, traffic was rerouted in the area for an hour.
