No More Free Shuttle Bus Service On Long Beach Island
Users will now pay a small fee to ride the shuttles, which start on Memorial Day.

LON BEACH TOWNSHIP, NJ - No more free rides on LBI.
The Long Beach Township Board of Commissioners announced the sad news at a recent meeting. Users of the shuttle service will now have to buy a ticket to take a ride on the island-wide shuttle, according to a report in The Sandpaper.
One-way shuttle rides from 10 a.m. to 10 pm. will cost $2. The cost of unlimited rides for a day until 10 p.m. is $5. The one-way fare after 10 p.m. is $5, or $10 for unlimited rides until the shuttle stops running that night. Be sure to bring exact change.

The shuttle bus rides will begin on Memorial Day weekend.
Township officials said they will consider adding after-season passes, or possibly reduced fees for some.
