Driver was uninjured in accident on Route 539 on Barnegat/Stafford border late Thursday night.

The driver of a Freightliner semi-trailer was uninjured Thursday night when he misjudged the height of utility pole wires and struck a pole on Route 539. The pole ended up on top of the vehicle's cargo box, Officer Christopher M. Fritz said.

The incident happened near the Stafford Township/Barnegat border of the roadway. Police found electrical wires and the pole on top of the cargo box, he said.
