South Jersey Man Pleads Guilty To Arson-Related Blaze At Marina
Bruce Roslin pleaded guilty to his involvement in a 2009 fire that destroyed his boat and damaged the Tuckerton Marine Service Center

TOMS RIVER, NJ - A Little Egg Harbor man recently pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit theft by deception, the culmination of an 18-count indictment related to a 2009 fire at a Tuckerton marina.
Bruce Roslin, 48, admitted to conspiring with his codefendant Jonathan Dockery to set his boat - a 26-foot 2007 ProKat - on fire and defraud the insurance company of $75,000. The money was paid to Roslin personally and to his financing company, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
Roslin could face up to 10 years in state prison as a result of the guilty plea before Superior Court Judge Michael T. Collins, he said.

Dockery and another co-defendant previously entered pleas of guilty for their involvement in the arson.
The Tuckerton Marine Service Center and several other boats were damaged in the blaze, Della Fave said.

Roslin and Dockery were first charged with first-degree arson for hire, second-degree arson, second-degree conspiracy to commit aggravated arson and 10 counts of third-degree arson.Roslin was additionally charged with third-degree insurance fraud, fourth-degree false swearing, third-degree theft by deception and third-degree witness tampering, according to nj.com.
State Police Detective William Simonson and Sgt. Adam Graczyk were the primary investigators. State Police Sgt. Michael Ward conducted the origin and cause investigation. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Unit, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit, the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office all assisted.
