'Troubled' Pedophile Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison
Christopher Wilson, 21, tried to entice girl, 12, into having sex after she got off her school bus in 2016

TOMS RIVER - A Little Egg Harbor man will spend the next five years in state prison after he tried entice a 12-year-old girl to have sex with him after she got off her school bus back in 2016.
Christopher Wilson, 21, National Union Boulevard, offered the girl a game console in exchange for sex, but the girl refused, authorities have said.
Wilson pleaded guilty on Sept. 11, 2017, to attempted sexual assault. He tried to retract his guilty plea later, but Ocean County Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski turned down his request. She sentenced him to five years in prison on Friday, according to a report in the Asbury Park Press.

Wilson will serve his term at the state Corrections Department's Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in the Avenel section of Woodbridge for sex-offender treatment, the judge said.
Wilson had nothing to say before his sentencing. But his lawyer Brian C. White, told the judge his client had a history of mental health issues and was the victim of abuse when he was 7.

"He has been a troubled person since he was a small child," White said of his client. He said his client wants to get help.
