Volunteers Needed To Shop For Homebound Residents In Stafford

S.H.I.P. pairs elderly and homebound residents with volunteers who can shop and pick up prescription medications for them.

STAFFORD, NJ — An all-volunteer program in Stafford is seeking new volunteers to help elderly and homebound residents in the township.

S.H.I.P. (Stafford Helps Its People) provides assisted area elderly and homebound residents with volunteers who can shop and pick up prescription medications for them.

Residents in need are paired with volunteers who will pick up shopping lists and payments, shop and deliver the groceries back to the residents.

“A number of our volunteers returned to their jobs following the pandemic lockdowns being lifted and we need new volunteers to continue this valuable service,” organizers said on Facebook.
