ICYMI: 2 Ridge High Teens Save Boy's Life At Pool
One of the lifeguards jumped into the pool to get the unconscious 5-year-old. The other gave him CPR, reviving him.
BERNARDS, NJ — Two Ridge High School students were commended by the town after rescuing a 5-year-old boy while on life guard duty in June. Annie Page and Nicoletta Agostino were working at Signal Point Pool in Bernards when they had to put their training to use, a Bernards Township resolution says.
When the two were alerted to the boy in distress, Page jumped into the pool and pulled him out. He was unconscious, the resolution says.
TAPinto reported the boy's father tried CPR at first. Then, Agostino took over CPR on the boy, who then regained consciousness.

TAPinto reported Agostino saying the CPR itself wasn't hard, but added it was scary using CPR in a real-life situation.
He's since recovered fully, the resolution says.

"The Township Committee resolved to recognize and thank Annie, Nicoletta, and the entire Signal Point Poolstaff on duty that day as their response saved the life of this young child," the resolution says.
Page and Agostino are rising seniors at Ridge.
